KARACHI: The fireplace brigade department of the Karachi Metropolitan agency became on Friday passed over present day firefighting equipment and gear, which include leaping cushion and whole Nomex firefighting suits with boots.

talking to media on the event, the mayor said that he started efforts for improvement inside the KMC fire brigade seeing that he took over the office of mayor.

Metropolitan Commissioner Dr Syed Saif-ur-Rehman become also present on the occasion. The mayor gave fireplace brigade one-of-a-kind fire extinguishing and rescue equipment along with five advantageous pressure ventilators/smoke extractors, one jumping cushion for emergency rescue operations, one vertical spiral break out chute, one decontamination tent, decontamination shower machine, 25 entire Nomex firefighting fits with boots, 25 fireplace helmets, 25 leather gloves and 25 respirators with full face piece and 25 others with 1/2 face piece.

a demonstration became also held on this event at some point of which firefighters used system to rescue human beings in a ridicule hearth drill.

The mayor stated that the firefighters have been getting fire danger allowance on normal basis.

Anti-encroachment operation

The anti-encroachment operation endured in parts of the city, which include M.A. Jinnah avenue from Lighthouse to Tower.

officials stated that each one encroachments from footpaths had been removed along M.A. Jinnah street, from Lighthouse to Tower.

They stated that anti-encroachment staff also seized items and fabric present at the extended components of the stores on pavements.

The officials said that encroachments had been eliminated at Bara Board and Pak Colony in district West and strength residence,
