The Pakistan global airlines (PIA) has determined to droop its flights to Tokyo starting next month because of "heavy losses", a spokesperson said on Sunday.

The national flag-provider presently flies to the japanese capital as the second leg of its Islamabad-Beijing-Tokyo direction.

but beginning February 15, it will droop the Tokyo flights "because of heavy losses being incurred in this path", PIA spokesman Mashood Tajwar told .Com.

He clarified that only the flights between Beijing and Tokyo were being suspended and that the Islamabad-Beijing course will continue to be intact.

The national airline is trying to increase its business and is running toward its rebranding. In December, it released a 2nd flight from Islamabad to Doha and in November, it had recommenced flights to Muscat and Sharjah from Lahore and Sialkot, respectively.
